Amazon Fire TV Sticks

Amazon has so many products that fall under the “Amazon Devices” umbrella, but none are as popular among our readers as Fire TV Sticks. With a tiny little dongle, you can instantly transform any TV into a Fire TV. It’ll run all the streaming apps you might want, plus thousands of games and other apps in Amazon’s app store. Right now, there are some great Fire TV Stick deals that our readers have been swarming to buy.

Prices start at just $17.99 for the Fire TV Stick Lite, which is the best price we’ve seen since the Prime Big Deal Days shopping event. The regular Fire TV Stick is on sale for $19.99, but my favorite deal is the new-for-2023 Fire TV Stick 4K, which is on sale for $29.99 instead of $50. The new Fire TV Stick 4K Max is also on sale for the first time, but you’ll only save 25% while the rest of Amazon’s streaming dongles are either 40% or 50% off.

Upgraded 4K Fire TV Sticks are on sale

If you’re willing to spend a little more money, you can pick up one of Amazon’s 4K models instead of the entry-level Fire TV Sticks.

I’ve personally used every Fire TV Stick version that Amazon has released so far, and I highly recommend opting for either the Fire TV Stick 4K or, better yet, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max. First of all, you will future-proof your purchase since it supports 4K and HDR. And with the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, you also get a significantly faster UI.

The deals this week include the latest version of Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K, which is down to $29.99 instead of $50. This is by far the most popular Fire TV Stick model among our readers, and it was recently updated with a few new features. Here’s are the updates you need to know about:

  • New 1.7GHz processor is 25% faster
  • Wi-Fi 6 support
  • 2GB of storage

The Fire TV Stick 4K Max is a big upgrade compared to the regular 4K version. The addition of Wi-Fi 6E support is terrific, of course. But the most noticeable difference is the Fire TV Stick 4K Max’s much faster interface thanks to a new 2.0GHz quad-core processor. It’s night and day compared to other Fire TV Stick models.

If you poke around through the Amazon customer reviews for various Fire TV Stick models, you’ll see that interface lag is really the only main complaint that you’ll see over and over.

That’s one of the main reasons why the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is such a great upgrade. In fact, that’s reason enough to opt for the 4K Max model, even aside from great features like Wi-Fi 6E and HDR support.

The only problem is that the Max model currently has a smaller discount than the rest of Amazon’s Fire TV Sticks. You’ll currently save 25%, which means you can get the Fire TV Stick Max for $44.99 instead of $60.

Fire TV Stick deals on entry-level models

Fire TV Stick Lite

Amazon has had other Fire TV Stick sales in 2023, and there was one as recently as last month. But as I mentioned when I covered that sale, the deals weren’t as impressive as other Fire TV Stick deals we’ve seen.

Starting today, there’s a much better batch of Fire TV Stick deals available on Amazon.

Prices start at $17.99 for the Fire TV Stick Lite, which normally sells for $30. This model is very popular because of its low cost, but there are two main limitations that you should know about before you buy one.

First, the Fire TV Stick Lite only supports resolutions up to 1080p FHD. That means you won’t be able to watch 4K content at full resolution. And second, this model comes with the Alexa Voice Remote Lite, which doesn’t have extra buttons to control your TV.

If you want to upgrade to the regular model, you’re in luck because it has Amazon’s biggest discount this week.

The regular Fire TV Stick in brand-new condition is on sale for $19.99 instead of $40. This model is also capped at 1080p, but it has the full-blown Alexa Voice Remote that many people prefer.

Considering this model costs less brand-new than the Lite model in refurbished condition, this is definitely the way to go right now.

And last but certainly not least, we have the 3nd-generation of Fire TV Cube. As I mentioned earlier, it’s essentially a Fire TV Stick 4K combined with an Echo Dot. It’s the best of both worlds, and it retails for $140.

Sometimes it goes on sale, however, and Amazon just dropped the price to $109.99 if you buy one this week. That’s the lowest price ever for this current-generation model.

Why I recommend Amazon Fire TV Sticks

Amazon’s Fire TV Stick lineup is smarter than any smart TV out of the box. Image source: Maren Estrada for BGR

Some people who have never tried a Fire TV Stick might be confused as to why they’re so popular. After all, practically every TV you can buy right now has a smart TV platform built in. That includes everything from budget televisions to high-end models from premium TV brands like Sony, LG, and Samsung.

If you want to know why product reviewers like me still recommend Fire TV Sticks, the answer is simple: Amazon’s Fire TV platform is better than proprietary smart TV platforms.

There are a few different reasons why that’s the case. One reason is the simple fact that the Fire TV user interface is better and more usable than proprietary platforms. I love my LG OLED TV, for example, but the webOS smart TV platform is a mess.

Another reason why Fire TV Sticks are better than built-in smart TV platforms is app support. You can find practically any app you can imagine in Amazon’s app store, from streaming apps to games and more. Meanwhile, if you use the smart TV features that came on your TV, you’re limited to a much smaller number of apps.

In my home, I personally mainly use Apple TVs. It’s not because Apple TVs are necessarily better than Fire TV Sticks, however. I mainly use Apple TV boxes because I have so many other Apple devices. I love the continuity across my laptop, desktop, tablet, smartphone, and TV. I even have access to many of the same apps, which is a big bonus.

The one thing I really don’t like about the Apple TV is the price, however. Even when it’s on sale with a discount, the Apple TV 4K still costs so much more money than other streaming devices from companies like Roku and Amazon. That’s why I use the Apple TV on my main TVs, but the rest get Fire TV Sticks.

The beauty of a Fire TV Stick is that it’s a cheap little device that hides out of sight behind your TV. But it instantly expands the capabilities of any TV you connect it to.

FAQ

Can you get local channels on a Fire TV Stick?

You should know that you cannot watch local TV channels on a Fire TV Stick on its own. It doesn’t have an OTA antenna or anything like that. But you can access local TV channels through a live TV streaming service, and there are plenty of options in Amazon’s app store on the Fire TV platform. Examples include Philo, Hulu, YouTube TV, Sling TV, and Fubo TV.

Is there a monthly charge for a Fire TV Stick?

Amazon does not charge a monthly fee for any of its Fire TV Sticks. Let’s clear that up right away because some people mistakenly think that’s the case.

There are apps and services within a Fire TV Stick that you might need to pay monthly for. Examples include Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and HBO Max. But you do not need to pay any monthly fee to use the Fire TV Stick itself.

What channels do you get on a Fire TV Stick?

The simple answer to this question is that you get practically every channel you can think of on Amazon’s Fire TV Sticks. If the channel you’re interested in has an app, it almost certainly is compatible with the Fire TV Stick.

What is better, Fire TV Stick or Roku?

There’s a big debate surrounding which is better, Amazon’s Fire TV Stick lineup or Roku streaming media players. The truth is that neither one is better overall, but there may be specific cases where one is better than the other for specific users.

For example, if you’re a fan of Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant, then a Fire TV Stick is probably a better option for you. It will integrate with all of your other Alexa devices. You can also use Alexa to search for movies and TV shows to watch.

LG OLED TVs are some of the most beloved televisions in the world right now. They offer stunningly vivid colors and the deepest blacks you can imagine. There are several great TV deals available right now, especially if you want an entry-level model. As we noted in our daily roundup of top deals, prices start at just $89.99 for the Insignia F20 32-inch Fire TV.

Needless to say, that’s an all-time low price for a great television. But it’s also a very small TV that’s only good for a kitchen or perhaps a guest room. If you want something bigger and higher-end, you definitely need to check out the sale happening right now at Best Buy.

I have an LG A2 OLED TV myself, and I can assure you that it’s absolutely stunning. The picture quality is just as good as the LG C1, which I also have. This particular model features a newer display panel than the C1 though, and it touts some very impressive specs.

Some LG A2 highlights include self-lit pixels, 100% color fidelity, and 100% color volume. LG’s α7 Gen5 AI Processor 4K does a remarkable job of helping produce incredible picture quality. Plus, AI Picture Pro technology helps upscale content to 4K without degrading the quality.

There are several different picture modes that are highly customizable. Also, gamers will love how fantastic the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X look on this TV, which automatically switches to gaming mode when it detects that you’ve turned on your console.

Some higher-end Roku devices like the Roku Streambar are on sale right now with great discounts. The Streambar retails for $130, but it’s $99.99 during Amazon’s sale.

Of course, the star of the show is probably the Roku Streaming Stick 4K, which is down to $37.99 instead of $50. Also, you can get the Roku Express 4K+ for $29.99 instead of $40. Neither of those deals are as low as the sales we saw during this event last year, but they do match the lowest prices we’ve seen in recent months. Given the current state of the global economy, that shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.

Here, we’ll show you all the best Roku deals available during Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days event in 2023.

Our favorite Roku deals

Amazon’s Prime Early Access Sale discount slashes the popular Roku Express to just $21.99. That’s the lowest price of the season, and it’s a great value.

This deal is also within $2 the newest Roku Express’s lowest price of all time.

This entry-level streaming media player features a more traditional design, so it’s a box and not a dongle. That said, it’s definitely small enough to be tucked away anywhere. It also supports Full HD content, so $21.99 is an amazing price for this model.

But for just $29.99, you can upgrade to the newer Roku Express 4K+. That way, you’ll get 4K and HDR support, which the entry-level model don’t offer.

We strongly recommend upgrading to the 4K+ model if you’re going to get a box-style media player. Trust us, it’s more than worth the extra $8.

Of course, many of our readers prefer a different type of streamer. Lucky for you, there’s another Roku deal for Prime Big Deal Days 2023.

The Roku Streaming Stick 4K is on sale right now for just $29.99, matching the lowest price ever. Beyond 4K, HDR, and a Roku Voice Remote, the new Streaming Stick 4K also supports Dolby Vision and a few more great features.

This model retails for $50, but it’s only $37.99 if you buy one from Amazon on October 10 or October 1211

Last but certainly not least, there are two different Roku deals available to anyone who also needs a soundbar.

For $99.99, you can pick up a new Roku Streambar that features fantastic sound quality in a compact enclosure. There’s also essentially a Roku Streaming Stick 4K built right in. This model retails for $130, so it’s a great value.

When is Prime Big Deal Days 2023?

Amazon Prime Bide Deal Days 2023 is here — officially, it’s taking place on October 10 and 11. So, if you’re interested in getting something for yourself, now is the time.

What is Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day is Amazon’s biggest shopping event of the year. During the event — which is two days this year — we’ll see some of the biggest price cuts on not only Amazon products like the Amazon Echo but also third-party products.

What is the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days Sale?

Prime Big Deal Days is Amazon’s second major shopping event for the year, replacing the Prime Early Access sale that we saw in 2022. It’s a great way to get discounts on all kinds of different products.

Do I need Amazon Prime for Prime Day or Prime Big Deal Days?

Yes. You will need an Amazon Prime subscription to take advantage of both of these events. That said, if you don’t already have a subscription to Prime, you can get a 30-day trial. Some discounts are available for Prime too — for example. Students can get Prime for 50% off. Once you do sign up to Prime, you’ll have access to some other great deals too. Prime members can currently get channels like Starz and Showtime for $0.99 for two months.

How do I prepare for Prime Big Deal Days?

The best way to prepare for Amazon Prime Big Deal Days is to ensure you have an Amazon Prime subscription. This will ensure that you can actually take advantage of the deals that show up during the event. It’s also a good idea to make a list of the products that you want to buy during the event and bookmark any roundups that relate to those product categories. Here are some of our Prime deal roundups:

Majority Bowfell TV Soundbar

Since early last year, the #1 best-selling soundbar on Amazon has been the Majority Bowfell compact TV soundbar. It has a retail price of $45 but often goes on sale for even less than that. Right now, for example, the Majority Bowfell soundbar’s price is down to just $31.95, thanks to a double discount.

Considering this soundbar is so cheap, I personally found it hard to believe that this model was as good as all the Amazon reviews suggested. I bought one and tried it for myself, and I’ll quickly run through my impressions here. I’ll also give you a few upgrade options that offer better sound quality if you’re willing to spend significantly more money.

I purchased a Majority Bowfell TV soundbar last year after seeing it in the #1 best-selling spot for several months. With a price point that low, I had to see if it actually delivered decent sound quality.

Truth be told, my expectations were extremely low. But you know what? I was pleasantly surprised when my soundbar was delivered, and it was very easy to set up.

My main sound system throughout my house is Sonos. That includes the soundbars and surround speakers in my living room and basement. Needless to say, the Majority Bowfell doesn’t compare at all to a Sonos setup.

I’ve also tested mid-range and high-end soundbars from the likes of Bose, Sony, and other top brands. It’s the same story there.

But that’s not what the Majority Bowfell TV soundbar is. It’s a $45 soundbar that’s currently on sale for $31.95, and it improves your sound quality compared to using the built-in speakers on your TV or computer.

That’s what it’s for, and it definitely delivers.

I was pretty surprised at the clarity of the Majority Bowfell, even at a reasonably high volume. The bass certainly isn’t going to knock you out of your seat, but it’s better than most built-in TV speakers and just about all built-in PC speakers.

For under $50, the Majority Bowfell is a terrific value, and it’s compact enough to fit anywhere.

If you’re looking for some higher-quality options and you’re willing to spend at least three times what the Bowfell soundbar costs, I’ve included a few good alternatives below.

Amazon Fire TV Soundbar

Amazon held a big event in late September, during which it made tons of announcements. The company leaned heavily into AI, which can only be expected since it’s so trendy right now. But Amazon also announced a slew of new devices, some of which have already been released and some of which will begin shipping soon.

The Fire TV Soundbar is one of the few new Amazon devices that is already shipping. It’s the first soundbar from Amazon that has Fire TV software built right in, and it’s a product that will definitely be popular with our readers. Surprisingly, it’s already on sale with a $15 discount thanks to a special launch promotion using the coupon code FTVSB. Unfortunately, however, the deal is only available to certain customers, but there are other Fire TV deals you can check out instead.

BGR readers love Fire TV devices, and that has been the case ever since the first Fire TV Stick was released all the way back in 2014. It’s the perfect way to add smarts to any TV. In fact, many people still use a Fire TV Stick even if they have a smart TV. After all, proprietary smart TV software will never be as good as Amazon’s Fire TV experience.

Fire TV supports just about every app and game you could want. Plus, you get Alexa integration, which people obviously love.

On top of that, there’s another accessory that most people use with their TVs. Built-in speakers always sound weak and tinny, so people often opt for a soundbar instead.

Now, thanks to the brand-new Fire TV Soundbar that Amazon just released, you can get both of those must-have accessories in one package. And for a limited time, certain customers can save $15 on the new Fire TV Soundbar by using the coupon code FTVSB at checkout.

With high-quality speakers and a compact enclosure, the Fire TV Soundbar offers a big sound upgrade that you can use in any room. It’ll fit in the tightest spaces, or you can even mount it on the wall below your TV.

Also of note, the Fire TV Soundbar offers three different inputs. For your TV, you can connect via HDMI or optical audio. Of note, you’ll obviously want to use the HDMI connection. Otherwise, you won’t take advantage of the built-in Fire TV software.

There’s also a third type of input. The Fire TV Soundbar supports Bluetooth so that you can connect your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or just about anything else you might want.

At $119.99, the Fire TV Soundbar is already much less expensive than most similar models out there. But for a limited time, you can use the coupon code FTVSB at checkout and get one for $104.99.

Hisense has been on a roll. While the likes of Samsung and LG still offer the best TVs in the upper price ranges, in the midrange and low-end, it’s TCL and Hisense that are in a years-long battle for supremacy. A few years ago, TCL was well and truly the winner there — but over the past year or so, that has been changing, especially with the development of Hisense’s U8 series.

The latest in that series is the new Hisense U8K, which takes everything that was great about the U8H, but adds more dimming zones, more powerful speakers, a higher brightness, and more. It offers a mini-LED backlight like all Hisense TVs from the U6 series and up, and it continues the use of Hisense’s ULED technology.

So, for this generation, does Hisense continue to reign supreme in its price bracket?

Hisense U8K design

The overall design of the Hisense U8K remains mostly unchanged compared to the last-generation U8H, though that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I’ve been using the U8H for the past year, mounted to the wall, so for the most part, the design of the feet, for example, hasn’t really mattered to me. I still quite like the design of the feet on the U8K, though. They have cable management clips for a cleaner look, and they can be mounted in two positions. In the wider position, I was easily able to fit a Sonos Beam soundbar between them — but not the much wider Sonos Arc.

Hisense U8K RemoteImage source: Christian de Looper for BGR

Everything else about the TV’s design is mostly to be expected. It has relatively thin bezels around the screen, with a thicker bezel along the bottom. Like other Hisense TVs, there’s a small module in the center of the bottom with a microphone array, which can be used to access Google Assistant even when the TV is off.

On the back of the TV, facing the left side of the screen, are the selection of ports. Here, you’ll get four HDMI ports, with two of them being HDMI 2.1 ports that support 144Hz — and one of those is the eARC port. The other two are limited to HDMI 2.0. I hope that Hisense starts including four HDMI 2.1 ports in the near future — especially considering the fact that many high-end models these days have four of the latest-gen ports.

The design of the remote isn’t really anything to write home about. It’s mostly aimed at controlling software, and it’s built out of plastic. It does have a hefty six quick access buttons, including Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Disney+, Tubi, and an apps button, which I like.

Generally, the Hisense U8K’s design isn’t necessarily all that interesting, but it still looks mostly premium and well-designed.

Hisense U8K software and features

Like most of Hisense’s modern TVs, the U8K comes pre-loaded with the Google TV operating system, which has gotten better over the years. These days, it’s full-featured and easy to navigate.

Hisense U8K Google TVImage source: Christian de Looper for BGR

Google TV is generally good at offering suggested content recommendations, with rows of apps and their content further down the interface. For the most part, I found that the TV was able to navigate Google TV smoothly, however, Google TV is still a relatively processor-intensive operating system, and at times it did stutter a little.

The TV also offers some features for gamers to tweak their gaming experience. When you first connect a console, you’ll be able to adjust things like refresh rate, HDR, and more. It was relatively easy to use and worked well.

Hisense U8K performance

Of course, ultimately, it’s the TV’s performance that matters most — and this TV performs excellently. The Hisense U8K has a 4K resolution (despite the product name) and supports Dolby Vision. We’re reviewing the 65-inch model, which has an impressive 1,008 dimming zones. According to Hisense, it has a maximum brightness of 1500 nits. However, it has been measured as offering a higher peak brightness in many situations. Safe to say, this TV gets very bright.

In standard dynamic range, the TV was indeed able to deliver a very bright viewing experience overall — and at times, you might find it to be too bright. In SDR, there are a number of different picture modes to choose from, including a Filmmaker Mode that’s built to offer better color accuracy.

Of course, the real advantage of all that brightness is for better contrast in HDR mode. In HDR modes, the TV is able to deliver sizzling highlights, and when combined with those deep black levels, thanks to the many dimming zones, you’ll get a more realistic image overall. Those black levels really are quite good and well-controlled. I never really experienced much in the way of blooming.

The TV was pretty good at handling motion as well. You will want to tweak motion settings out-of-the-box, but overall, it was relatively good at removing judder. And it was good at upscaling lower-resolution content.

The Hisense U8K is an excellent option for gamers who want a high-performance TV, too. It supports a VRR and up to 120Hz on modern consoles, ensuring that gameplay is relatively smooth at all times.

Ultimately, the Hisense U8K is able to deliver incredibly well in the performance category. In fact, it outperforms many of the much more expensive options out there, and while the most expensive TVs are still better, if you’re looking to spend $2,000 or less, then the Hisense U8K is probably the best performer.

Hisense U8K audio

Hisense has upgraded the speakers in the U8K, to a 2.1.2 speaker system. Indeed, the speakers on the TV were quite powerful, and I found that they easily got loud enough to fill a medium-sized living room.

The bass was deeper than many other built-in TV speakers. However, it still wasn’t as pounding as you would get from an actual subwoofer. Likewise, the highs weren’t bad — but they weren’t as detailed or clear as those you’ll get from even an entry-level soundbar.

Conclusions

The Hisense U8K, once again, is an incredible option. The TV boasts an image that punches far above its class, and while its design isn’t as premium as some of the more expensive options, and its audio quality is only fine, it excels where it matters.

The competition

For the price, the Hisense U8K offers the best performance of any TV — and it beats many TVs more expensive, too. TCL’s similarly-priced TVs are also excellent and offer great value — but they don’t quite match the level of performance offered by the Hisense U8K.

Should I buy the Hisense U8K?

Yes. It’s one of the best TVs you can get for under $1,500.

TV technology is increasing at an incredibly fast rate. Gone are the days when simply having an OLED panel automatically made a TV a high-end model. These days, the best TVs combine OLED tech with quantum dots — a technology that should make OLED TVs brighter and more vibrant.

It makes sense, as such, that the Samsung S95C sits atop Samsung’s lineup. The TV boasts all the latest and greatest tech, packed into a well-designed box. But because it’s so high-tech, the Samsung S95C is far from cheap. Does it justify its price tag? I’ve been using the flagship Samsung S95C to find out.

Samsung S95C design

The premium experience of the Samsung S95C starts with the design. It looks stunning. The TV continues Samsung’s approach of using the One Connect box, which means that all the ports and processing are located separately from the display itself. The result of that is that you can mount just the screen on the wall, with one cable connecting it to the rest of the system.

For reviewing this TV, I didn’t mount it to the wall — but I could still appreciate the thinness and high-end design. When you use the included base, the connection box simply attaches the back of the base — which still looks very nice.

The TV is built from high-end materials, and the result is that it’s quite heavy. You’ll need another person to help put the TV together, lest you risk damaging it in the process.

The One Connect box offers a nice selection of ports. You’ll get an impressive four HDMI 2.1 ports, with two USB 2.0 ports, an optical audio output, and an Ethernet port. It’s pretty much everything you’ll need in 2023 — and I like that all four ports are HDMI 2.1.

The design of the remote is pretty nice, too. It’s very minimalistic and is really just built to control the software, but it’s easy to navigate, and the buttons offer a nice click. Also, it’s rechargeable through USB-C and has a solar panel on the back, which is super nice.

Samsung S95C software and features

As a modern Samsung TV, the S95C comes with all the technological bells and whistles you would expect in 2023. For starters, it boasts Samsung’s Tizen operating system, and it works well. I quite like the approach to software that Samsung takes on its TVs, though, to be fair, competition like Google TV is just as easy to use.

You’ll find all the major streaming apps downloadable on the TV, and it can act like a SmartThings hub for the Samsung smart home users out there, which is a nice touch. The TV also supports HomeKit, and you can install either Bixby or Alexa on it at setup.

Samsung S95C performance

Of course, the real advantage of this TV over other Samsung options is its image quality. Indeed, the Samsung S95C is one of the best-looking TVs in the business — though you’ll have to pay to get it.

The big deal for this TV is that on top of offering an OLED panel, it makes use of quantum dot technology in an attempt to make OLED technology brighter. However, recent OLED panels have generally gotten brighter — and the LG G3 is still able to go toe-to-toe with the S95C in that area. In fact, ultimately, the G3 is still a tiny step brighter than the S95C.

The S95 offers image upscaling from Samsung’s Neural Quantum Processor 4K, and it works very well, as you would expect. 1080p content looked 4K, and while you could tell the difference between 4K and 720p or lower images, in general, the upscaling on offer here makes even low-res content bearable.

The refresh rate here is a super-fast 144Hz, and with the fact that the TV supports HDMI 2.1, that means that you’ll get the smoothest gaming experience you can from modern consoles. Indeed, gaming on the TV was an excellent experience.

There is one feature missing here — support for Dolby Vision. This is to be expected — Samsung doesn’t license Dolby Vision. And HDR content still looks great. But Samsung is the only major manufacturer to not support Dolby Vision, and I wish it did here.

Samsung S95C audio

If you’re getting a TV that looks this great, you should upgrade the sound system — the speakers here don’t match the image. But, in a pinch, you’ll be impressed with their quality — they’re better than the majority of built-in speakers out there.

I was particularly impressed by the bass here, which is usually something that eludes high-end TVs. The bass certainly won’t match a subwoofer, like the Sonos Sub Mini that I used with the TV for the majority of my testing. But it was deeper than I expected. The same goes for high-end detail — it’s pretty good.

Again, however, buy external soundbars. Even a midrange soundbar, like the Sonos Beam, will sound better than the speakers built into the TV.

Conclusions

The Samsung S95C is a triumph. It’s an incredible-looking TV, with among the best image quality out there. It also happens to offer an awesome design, a great software experience, and more. If you want something that is among the best TV experiences you can get right now, the Samsung S95C is worth considering.

The competition

The biggest competition here comes from the LG G3, which makes use of the new micro lens array tech to increase the brightness on offer. It’s one of the brightest OLED TVs out there right now. It also offers a stunning design, a great software experience, and more.

Ultimately, these two TVs are incredibly evenly matched — so it’s perhaps worth buying based on lesser-important things, like the software experience you prefer.

Should I buy the Samsung S95C?

Yes. If you’re willing to spend, this is one of the best TVs out there.
